2024 Masters

The bets:

1/5 odds top 7

£1 e/w Sepp Straka @ 200/1

1/5 odds top 8

£1 e/w Bryson DeChambeau @ 33/1
£1.50 e/w Hideki Matsuyama @ 16/1
£1.50 e/w Will Zalatoris @ 33/1
£1.50 e/w Tommy Fleetwood @ 40/1

1/5 odds top 10

£1.50 e/w Joaquin Niemann @ 20/1
£1.50 e/w Dustin Johnson @ 33/1

What happened?

Let's pick it up after round two with DeChambeau in the joint lead on six under.

Fleetwood is tied for eighth on one under, Straka a shot further back, with Zalatoris on +3, Niemann on +4 and Matsuyama just scraping in on the cut line of +6. Johnson (+13) is heading home.

DeChambeau fell back on the Saturday. Now at three under he's four shots behind leader Scottie Scheffler. Tommy Fleetwood is our next best at one under, equal ninth.

Further back we have Straka at +2, Zalatoris and Niemann at +3 while Matsuyama is +5.

In the final round World number one and pre-tournament favourite Scottie Scheffler showed his class to ease to -11 and a four shot win. On to our selections...

Fleetwood played an excellent final round to finish tied third at -4 to give us £13.50
DeChambeau struggled and ended -2 but that was still good enough for T-6 and £7.60
Zalatoris finished level but tied ninth didn't give us a return
Straka was T-16 at +2
Niemann (+4) was T-22
Matsuyama (+7) was T-38

£21.10 for the pot.

2024 Players Championship

The bets: All £1.50 e/w, fifth odds top eight

Max Homa 25/1
Hideki Matsuyama 28/1
Sam Burns 33/1
Min Woo Lee 45/1
Brian Harman 55/1
Erik van Rooyen 100/1

What happened:

Two rounds in and with Wyndham Clark at 14 under our best-placed fancies were Brian Harman and Hideki Matsuyama, seven and eight strokes off the lead respectively.

Lee, Burns and Homa at -1 only just made the cut, van Rooyen fell short by two shots.

After the third round Harman was sat in third on 15 under, two shots off the lead. Matsuyama was five further back but only one stroke off the place money. Burns at 8 under wasn't completely out of it but Lee at Even and Homa +1 could probably be written off.

After the last round:
Homa was tied 64th an Level par
Lee was two shots ahead, tied 54th
Burns finished tied 45th (-4)

Matsuyama finished on 15 under, five shots behind, tied for sixth place (£9.90)
Harman finished second on 19 under, just a shot behind Scottie Scheffler. (£18)

A small profit!
