2023 US Open

The bets:

£2 e/w (1/5 odds - 12 places)
Xander Schauffele @ 14/1
Max Homa @ 22/1

£2 e/w (1/5 odds - 10 places)
Tommy Fleetwood @ 33/1
Justin Rose @ 35/1

£1 e/w free bet (1/5 odds - 10 places I think)
Bryson DeChambeau @33/1

Placed By: P

What happened:

1st Round: Schauffele joined Rickie Fowler in shooting a US Open-record 62 to lead. DeChambeau was five strokes behind on three under, Homa is a further stroke back. Fleetwood, at three over, and Rose, six over, have work to so.

2nd Round: A par score for Schauffele leaves him two off the lead. DeChambeau has fallen back to one under, nine behind Rickie Fowler. Fleetwood is at two over, Rose and Homa missed the cut.

3rd Round: A 73 for Schauffele saw him drop to five under, five strokes behind the leaders. DeChambeau is two further back while Fleetwood's 70 sees him tied 38th on two over.

Final Round: A last day 63 saw Tommy Fleetwood tie for fifth place. Schauffele fell away with a final 72 but still bagged a top ten finish. DeChambeau's 74 was him finish tied 20th.

£20.90 into the pot - a slight profit!

2023 US PGA Championship

The bets:

£2 e/w
Tony Finau @ 22/1
Dustin Johnson @ 30/1
Xander Schauffele @ 16/1
Tommy Fleetwood @ 50/1

£1 ew (free bet)
Gary Woodland @ 80/1

Placed by: P

What happened:

Woodland missed the cut, Finau (10 behind), Schauffele (nine behind), Fleetwood (eight behind) and Johnson (six behind) couldn't be described as 'threatening'.

After round three Fleetwood was best-placed of our selections. His one over par total had him in a share of tenth, three behind an each way pick-up place and six behind the leader. Johnson and Schauffele (both five over) and Finau (eight over) looking very unlikely to get involved.

There were to be no shock comebacks on the Sunday. Fleetwood finished the tournament at two over, eleven strokes behind winner Brooks Kopeka and five off the each way places. Schauffele finished on the same mark, Johnson at +9 and Finau at +15.

2023 World Snooker Championship

2023 US Masters

The bets:

Rory McIlroy to win £4 @7/1

(following all 1/5 odds e/w)

Jordan Spieth £2 e/w 14/1 (12 places)
Jason Day £2 e/w 20/1 (12 places)
Max Homa £1 e/w 25/1 (10 places)
Tyrell Hatton £1 e/w 45/1 (10 places)

What happened:

With the leaders on seven under after the first round Day was two shots behind but the rest of our selections were varying degrees off the pace. Spieth was three under, Hatton and Homa one under while McIlroy returned a level par 72.

Day and Spieth ended day two on five under, seven off the lead. Hatton and Homa both made the cut albeit 12 strokes behind Brooks Koepka. McIlroy missed the cut.

After a rain-interrupted third round Day was three under, eight behind. Spieth fell back to one under with Hatton and Homa both at level par.

Day had a final round 80 to finish five over in joint 39th, Hatton was one shot better off overall, Homa one worse. Spieth finished with a 66 for a seven under total, five behind winner Jon Rahm.

It was good enough for tied 4th and £7.60 for the pot.

£2.50 e/w Jason Day @25/1
£1 e/w Colin Morikawa @ 16/1 (free bet)

(1/5 odds, 10 places)

Placed by: P

What happened:

Both players made a good start and safely made the cut. Day three wasn't so kind. A third straight 70 from Day left him tied 14th, eight strokes behind and Morikawa's 72 left him on the same mark.

Morikawa finished seven under, one shot outside the top ten, and Day was a shot further back.
