2026 Open Championship

The bets:

£2.50 e/w 10 places

Matt Fitzpatrick @ 11/1

£2.50 e/w 12 places

Robert MacIntyre @ 16/1
Tyrell Hatton @ 20/1
Justin Rose @ 25/1

£1.50 e/w 12 places

Chris Gotterup @ 22/1
Wyndham Clark @ 22/1
Sam Burns @ 25/1

What happened:

Round 1 saw American debutant Jackson Suber at the head of affairs at -5. Suber was an exception as a later starter making a better score. Am I trying to make excuses for our selections? Maybe.

MacIntyre was best-placed of our choices at -3. Hatton (-1) and Gotterup (Level) were next best. Fitzpatrick (+2), Burns and Clark (+3) all have work to do. Rose at five over will be fighting to make the cut.

A record equalling 62 from Lucas Herbert saw him top the leaderboard after the second round. Burns also shot a 62 to be five under, three strokes back. MacIntyre is a shot further back at -4 with Hatton also in contention at -3 and Gotterup at -2.

Clark, Rose (both +3) and Fitzpatrick (+4) all missed the cut.

Round 3 ended with Burns on top of the leaderboard after a 67 took him to -10 for the championship, two clear of the field. MacIntyre (-3) is in with a shout of some place money but Gotterup (E) and Hatton (+1) look to be out of the running.

The Final round saw Burns drop out of top spot with a 72 to finsih on -8, two behind winner Ryan Fox. Gotterup finished T18th (-3), MacIntyre T28th (-2) and Hatton T69th at four over.

So, close but just the £9.90 to the pot.

2026 US Open golf

The Bets:

all 12 places and 1/5 odds for each way purposes

£2.50 e/w

Xander Schauffele @ 12/1
Matt Fitzpatrick @ 14/1
Sam Burns @ 22/1
Russell Henley @ 25/1

£1 e/w

Justin Thomas @ 30/1

What happened:

A fog-hit start meant some of our players were completing their first round on day two. The early day one starters certainly caught the worst of conditions but we weren't badly placed with Fitzpatrick (-3) our best, three shots off the lead. Henley was at level par with Burns, Schauffele and Thomas all a stroke further back tied for 30th.

2023 Champion Wyndham Clark continued to lead the way after round two. His seven under total gave him a four shot lead over four players including our selections Fitzpatrick and Schauffele. Burns and Thomas were also in the top ten at one under while Henley stands at +3.

Gusting winds and firming greens made Saturday's play difficult but Clark stood firm and improved his score to seven under. After the chasing pack struggled he now holds a six shot lead. Schauffele and Burns are at level par, tied for sixth, Fitzpatrick is a shot further back, Thomas has slipped back to four over while an 80 from Henley sees him at +13.

Despite shooting a final round 73 Clark held on by one shot from Burns. Close! Schauffele's plus two total was good enough for a tie of 11th while Thomas (+3) and Fitzpatrick (+4) were just out of the money. Henley finished T65th.

The each way money puts £16.33 in the pot.

2026 USPGA Championship

The bets:

£2.50 e/w (12 places)

Matt McCarty @ 66/1
Matt Fitzpatrick @ 18/1
Cam Young @ 9/1
Rickie Fowler @ 33/1

£1 e/w (12 places)

Alex Noren 80/1

What happened:

Picking things up after round two... our best-placed selection is Cameron Young at two under, two off the lead. After that, not so hot.

Rickie Fowler is one over, Matt Fitzpatrick a shot further back and Alex Noren scraped inside the cur line at four over. Matt McCarty (+11) is on the way home.

Moving day didn't bring much movement in the right direction. Fowler is now our best-placed selection at one under, five off the lead but only one off each way money. Young is a shot further back.

Fitzpatrick (+3) and Noren (+4) seem unlikely to trouble the pay out window.

The Final round saw Fowler shoot 75 to drop out of contention. Noren and Young both finished on even par for the tournament while Matt Fitzpatrick, after a 65, finished two under. That was one shot off an each way pay out and seven behind surprise winner Aaron Rai.

We leave Aronimink empty-handed.

2026 US Masters golf

The bets:

All £2.50 ew, 1/5 odds, 12 places

Xander Scahuffele 10/1
Cam Young 16/1
Robert MacIntyre 16/1
Patrick Reed 20/1

What happened:

Round One - Our best-placed selection is Reed (-3), two strokes and two places off the lead. Schauffele is a shot further back (T6th). Young (+1) is Tied 33rd while MacIntyre's race looks run after shooting an opening round 80.

Round Two - As expected, MacIntyre (+7) couldn't turn round the day one deficit and missed the cut. Reed (-6) is tied for second, a distant six shots behind reigning champion Rory McIlroy. Young (T7) is two further strokes back after a second round 67, with Schauffele (-2) tied for 16th.

Round Three - An excellent 65 by Young, and an off day for McIlroy, see the two of them share the lead on 11 under. Reed didn't take advantage of better scoring conditions and is tied for ninth on six under. Schauffele (-4) is tied for 15th.

Round Four - After leading briefly, Young's putter went cold and he finished on 10 under. That was good for Tied -3rd, two strikes behind winner McIlroy. Schauffele had a better final day finishing on eight under (T9th) and Reed clung on to a T-12th place with a final total of -5.

All that each way money brought in £20.08. A profit is a profit!

2026 Players' Championship golf

The Bets: (All £2.50 ew)

Ludvig Aberg @ 16/1
Xander Schauffele @ 22/1
Chris Gotterup @ 33/1
Corey Conners @ 40/1

What happened:

Let's pick it up after the second round...

Aberg leads on twelve under, Schauffele is two strokes behind in second. Conners is tied fourth on -8 with Gotterup further back (equal 42nd at even par).

After round three Aberg was still on top, his 13 under score giving him a three shot lead. Schauffele and Connors are five back, tied for fourth, while Gotterup is on four under (T26).

Aberg fell out of contention on the final back nine, eventually coming home tied for fifth, four shots behind winner Cam Young. Our best-placed selection was Schauffele in third place on -11. Conners missed out on an each way payout by one stroke (T13th) while a poor last day from Gotterup saw him end T56th.

So, two pickups for a total of £24.
