2025 US Masters Golf

The bets:

17/1 Bryson DeChambeau - £2.50 ew eight places
23/1 Shane Lowry - £2.50 ew twelve places
45/1 Akshay Bhatia - £1.50 ew twelve places
55/1 Patrick Reed - £2.50 ew ten places
110/1 Nicolai Hojgaard - £1 ew twelve places

Placed by: P

What happened:

Hojgaard missed the cut and Bhatia just scraped through to the weekend righty on the cut mark.

After three rounds, DeChambeau was in second on 10 under,  two behind leader Rory McIlroy. Reed was tied for fourth six back and Lowry was tied for sixth a stroke further behind. (Bhatia was joint last of those that made the weekend at five over.)

Lowry struggled to an 81 on the final day and finished +4 for the tournament, the same mark as Bhatia.

DeChambeau briefly led but fell away to finish tied fifth on seven under.

Reed got closest to eventual winner McIlroy. His final round 69 lifted him to nine under and third place, two shots behind the winner.

All that put £41 in the pot.

2024 Open Championship

The bets:

To win -

Rory McIlroy £5 @ 17/2

Each way bets -

£2.50 ew 1/5 odds, top ten

Bryson DeChambeau @ 14/1 (free bet)
Collin Morikawa @ 14/1
Tommy Fleetwood @ 20/1
Patrick Cantlay @ 45/1
Sahith Theegala @45/1

£1 ew 1/5 odds, top ten

Victor Perez @ 170/1
Sami Valimaki @ 350/1

50p ew 1/5 odds, top ten

Will Zalatoris @ 100/1 (free bet)

50p ew 1/4 odds, top five

MW Lee @ 55/1

What happened?:

A combination of many of our players getting the worst of the Scottish weather and, let's face it, not playing well enough meant that only Cantlay (-1) and Morikawa (+1) survived the cut.

Cantlay fell back to three over (tied for 25th) on Saturday, Morikawa was one shot better, tied for 15th.

Neither of our players could get involved on the final day. Morikawa's level par final round saw him two shots behind tenth place and eleven behind the winner. Cantlay shot a last day 73 to finish at +5.
